This place used to be called "Iron Skillet" but I guess it's now affiliated with the Los Gatos Cafe on Santa Cruz Avenue. I recently had brunch there and I was not disappointed. Yes, if you go on a weekend you will have to wait although I think if your party is large enough you can make a reservation. However, you will not be seated unless everyone is there. That's fair. I had a "build your own omelette," which I love. The portions are HUGE. No way can you eat everything in one sitting. But order the famous coffee cake instead of toast and take it home with you for a nice treat later. Potatoes were so flavorful (I think they put turmeric in them to make them that cheery yellow color) and they were so crispy. Service is cheerful and efficient. It does get a bit noisy but you do have the option of out door dining. They have so many options beyond breakfast, which is great for groups and families.

Great breakfast place if you want your staples, but with a twist. My partner took me there for the first time the other day and we got to sit outside in the great Labor Day weather. We started with coffee for me and latte for her - both were great. I had 3 cups, and I never have 3 cups of coffee. I was vibrating when our food came. I got an omelette, which they soufflé style. So a 3 egg omelette is huge, but also fluffy and light. Only issue I had was it was pretty dry, but otherwise far more than I could eat. I do have to comment on their side of fruit that I got in place of the potatoes - holy moly it was good! I almost sent the eggs back and asked for more fruit. My partner also got an omelette, but you can ask for any of them as a burrito, so she did. It came out as two giant burritos! She ate 1/2 of one, and we took the rest home. Wow it was a lot! Overall it was a great experience, but it can get noisy inside and the lines can get a bit long. We also had a bunch of crazy bees that were harassing us and a few other tables all breakfast. But I'd go back!

Still my fav place for solid breakfast, brunch or lunch. Enjoyed our brunch out on the patio under the overhang. Ordered corned beef hash, potatoes, two scrambled eggs and a gluten free blueberry muffin. So yummy!

First time here for brunch and it's good to not needing for a long queue unlike at the downtown location. It was a quick check in and the server poured us coffee right after we sit down. Great efficiency and very polite and welcoming service. We were sit next to the big window which is great. Other seats are a bit tight but of course we have no complains at all. We ordered the crab cake and the crab soufflé omelette. I'm surprised the omelette comes with cake/bread of your choice. I ordered the coffee cake and it was fantastic, was served warm!! Servers were super attentive pouring us coffees. It's rare nowadays at the breakfast place.

It's an American type restaurant that serves breakfast any hour but they don't serve typical American foods. We come here for a brunch and as usual I order the omelette that comes with the best potato herbs and a bakery item. I always choose the carrot cake even though their bakery items are delicious. The staff are friendly and efficient. It's a very casual place for eating with friends and family but since the line is long most of the time, please be considerate, chat while waiting your food and give another people to enjoy without waiting too long please. The portion is generous so come hungry

It's been a while since I last visited the Uptown location but I had a very pleasant experience upon my return. I was first introduced to the Los Gatos Cafe experience with this location during the peak of COVID, when the pick up experience was still hit or miss. I transitioned to frequenting the other location once restrictions were lifted since that one tends to be more lively. If you're looking for a busier experience and always a wait on the weekends, I would recommend that one, if you're looking to get seated quickly and eat in peace, this location is the one to pick. We brought a dog with us so we did outdoor seating. The weather was pleasant, most of the tables were filled on a Wednesday morning, and the host came out to greet and seat us. Service was lovely, I ordered the Joe's Herb Potato Scramble as I've always done, and the dog was well-received by staff and patrons alike. I would definitely recommend dining with a dog at this location as there's less hustle and bustle, I've seen dogs at outdoor seating at the other location but the tables are much smaller and there are always people passing by. The Joe's Herb Potato Scramble was tasty but just not quite the same as I remember it being a few years back. I'd definitely recommend both Los Gatos Cafe locations, but next time I come by I'll be looking to try something new.

Came on a Sunday around 11 AM and there was already a line so come early outdoor and endorsing available depending on the weather do have a breakfast and lunch menu all of which looked amazingly good. Would definitely come here to eat with others but great spot even if it's just you and someone else. Their french fries are delicious, crispy outside and tender on the inside. Burgonzala burger delicious very similar to a blue cheese burger the kids menu and make different shaped pancakes for the kids. Service was great waiters were attentive would definitely come back again

Hearty, delicious fare at reasonable prices. There are 2 locations in Los Gatos, and this was my first visit to the Uptown location. The food is consistently good at the other location, and it's just as good here. Portions are large and our food was served piping hot in very short order. Coffee isn't the best but the food is great. This location was a bit more convenient for parking (albeit I came on a weekday) since there's a parking lot for the strip mall. Wait staff were efficient and friendly, and the dining room was clean, at a pleasant temperature, and spaced nicely. I will return on a weekend to try their cinnamon rolls.

The breakfast here is pretty good. Tbh, it's just like any other diner but I came here because I wanted some Swedish pancakes and this place came up on Yelp. I liked the corned beef hash and the Swedish pancakes so would come here again just for those, but I was slightly disappointed that they don't have hashbrowns here. I came here around 10am on a Saturday and only waited 15 minutes before I was seated. The server was friendly and they occasionally walk by to see if you need drink refills, so that was nice not having to wave someone down.

As my fellow Yelpers have said, there is going to be a line on the weekends. Tip: As to eat at the counter and you may not have to wait long or at all. That is what the two of us did! This location is the "younger/newer" spot compared to the once in Downtown. No matter which location you choose, definitely opt for their Cinnamon Roll. I cannot believe they give that beast has a bakery item for one person to try to enjoy. Two of us were smart enough to share it and eat less than half of it. That way, we could enjoy our respective entrees! Their Linguica Sausage Omelette with herbed potatoes hit the spot and was a very generous portion. The herbed potatoes are cooked as if it was a hash brown. The staff was friendly and attentive, even though it was busy. That was the beauty of eating at the counter. One could witness the madness!
